Eat to Grow Your Hair While on Vacation
Say Yes to that Vacation!!
Dee Carter intentionally chose a remote tropical destination to show you how easy it is to eat your natural DHT blockers while on vacation!
"I always begin with a power breakfast! Most hotels, resorts, bed and breakfasts offer a variety of fruit. Watermelon is usually the most popular on the buffet. Did you know that watermelon contains nutrients that actually help to block DHT? Mix watermelon, papaya, cantaloupe, fresh strawberries, blueberries and any other fruit you like. If you're watching your weight and counting points, these have 0 points!"
Skip the bacon, sausage and other processed meats as the nitrites and other chemicals in these hinder healthy cell production, iron absorption, and hair growth.Instead, opt for proteins like, cottage cheese, low fat greek yogurt, (soy, coconut milk options if possible), tofu, eggs...
"My favorites are raw nuts that include pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, almonds and or walnuts, pecans top with muesli and honey. Remember, pumpkin seeds contain a sterol called delta-7 sterine which blocks DHT build up in the actual hair follicles. Pine nuts contain biotin and are rich in antioxidants vitamins, A and E and zinc which are known to feed hair follicles boosting hair growth."
Shown here: My breakfast at "Neve" Four Seasons Resort: Watermelon, papayas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, and honey dew melon, Muesli, mix of raw nuts including pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, and almonds. Freshly squeezed tangerine and cantaloupe juice.
For lunch, Have a huge leafy green salad and add local flavor to your lunch. My favorite; papaya slices or chunks of mango on top. If you eat fish, have the local catch of the day. Finish it all with a cool fresh coconut! Drink the water and eat the jelly inside. YUMMY!
"Coral Grill" Four Seasons Resort, Nevis My salad for dinner! Paradise Salad... Yummy!
In the evening, add a nutrient filled, fresh salad made with dark, leafy greens such as romaine, spinach, red boston lettuce, and or red cabbage to your meal and avoid processed foods and rich sugary desserts that encourage yeast growth. We know that yeast thrives on sugar and over growth of yeast has been attributed to hair loss.
Get plenty of sun which will provide natural Vitamin D and don't forget to drink your water and stay hydrated! Don't forget to protect your skin with a good sunscreen. Remember, Shea butter based ingredients provide a level of sun protection: approximately 7 SPF, which is okay for your hair, but for your skin, you need to add more. Use your Beaucoup Hair Herbal Hair Systems!!! It's easier to travel with the LITE Systems! Just adhere to rules of flying and place in a sealed bag!
Bon Voyage!! Have Fun!!!
XOXOXO!!
Dee Carter
